recruiting skilled temporary Relief Assistant Managers to work at various Care Homes within the
Plymouth area.

style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">As a Relief Assistant
Manager you will be responsible in consultation with the Manager for the day-to-day operation of a
Unit and its staff when on duty, in accordance with plans

style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">As a Relief Manager you will be required to support the
unit manager by managing and participating in the activities of the unit when on duty according to
the business plan & operational policies & procedures for the service.

Ideally
you will hold an NVQ 4 in Health & Social Care and/or a Registered Managers award, have
management experience within care. It is essential that you are proficient in dealing with
medication.

General duties to include:

  • Ensuring that care plans for
    individual service users are being completed and requirements are being met.
  • class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list
    36.0pt;">Supervision of Support and Domestic
    staff.
  • Implementing
    administrative and other procedures where necessary.
  • style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list 36.0pt;"> style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Dealing with medication where
    necessary.

style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"> Skills required:

    class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2; tab-stops: list
    36.0pt;">Ability to work well under
    pressure.
  • Good inter-personal and
    communication skills.
  • Excellent
    supervisory skills.
  • Ability to
    undertake personal care tasks.
  • Ability to design/implement and evaluate
    programmes in accordance with identified needs.

style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;">Successful
candidates are subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure. Recent Manual Handling, Health & Safety
and Safeguarding Adults training are desirable, however Common Induction Standard training and
specialist training will be provided free of charge.
