Temporary skilled Relief Assistant Manager – Care

Based in Plymouth

Pay – Competitive/Dependent on skills

 

We are currently recruiting skilled temporary Relief Assistant Managers to work at various Care Homes within the Plymouth area.

As a Relief Assistant Manager you will be responsible in consultation with the Manager for the day-to-day operation of a Unit and its staff when on duty, in accordance with plans

As a Relief Manager you will be required to support the unit manager by managing and participating in the activities of the unit when on duty according to the business plan & operational policies & procedures for the service.

Ideally you will hold an NVQ 4 in Health & Social Care and/or a Registered Managers award, have management experience within care. It is essential that you are proficient in dealing with medication.

General duties to include:

  • Ensuring that care plans for individual service users are being completed and requirements are being met.
  • Supervision of Support and Domestic staff.
  • Implementing administrative and other procedures where necessary.
  • Dealing with medication where necessary.

 Skills required:

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Excellent supervisory skills.
  • Ability to undertake personal care tasks.
  • Ability to design/implement and evaluate programmes in accordance with identified needs.

Successful candidates are subject to an enhanced CRB disclosure. Recent Manual Handling, Health & Safety and Safeguarding Adults training are desirable, however Common Induction Standard training and specialist training will be provided free of charge.
